1. Data Collection & Purpose

As a non-profit organization, we adhere to the principle of data minimization. We only collect information strictly necessary to facilitate local borrowing services and ensure system security:

• Account Credentials: Registered email address, username, and encrypted password.
• Community Location Data: Public community names and approximate locations selected by users (used solely to connect neighbors for local borrowing).
• Operational Logs: Book listing history, order status updates, “Not Received” / loss reports, and credit score logs.

2. Neighbor Privacy & Protection

• Non-Public Contact Info: Private contact details (e.g., phone numbers or messaging IDs) are never publicly searchable or displayed on the Platform.
• Order-Bound Sharing: Contact information is temporarily disclosed only between the specific lender and borrower once an active borrowing request is initiated, strictly for coordinating book handovers.

3. Commercial Use Prohibited & Security

The Organization will never sell, rent, or monetize your personal data to third parties for commercial or marketing purposes. We implement standard administrative and technical safeguards to protect user data. Upon account deletion, personal identifiers are removed or anonymized (except for de-identified operational logs retained for fraud prevention).
